Information on BIO International Convention / BIO Japan

About BIO International / BioJapan

In 2024, KSAC and Kyoto University made their first appearance at the BIO International Convention, aiming to significantly enhance their international outreach capabilities and build a startup ecosystem that fosters the creation of global startups capable of succeeding in international markets, thereby contributing to solving social issues.
Furthermore, in November 2024, Kyoto University was selected for the “Startup Ecosystem Co-Creation Program: Support for Building National Networks”, a project under the University-Driven New Industry Creation Fund. As part of this initiative, Kyoto University will advance international outreach activities involving platforms across Japan, called NINEJP (https://ninejp.org/en), Japan’s university-based innovation ecosystems. In 2025, Kyoto University plans to co-exhibit with NINEJP at the BIO International Convention to showcase research proposals and promote the creation of university-launched startups.
